The announcements included a new Meta Verified badge for businesses and an extension to the payment service, which makes it easier to make purchases directly in the chat. These features highlight verified companies individually and protect them from scammers using companies with the same name and allow consumers to browse, select and shop directly from their WhatsApp chat window.
Zuckerberg also talked about WhatsApp Flows, which allows businesses to create custom experiences in chat threads. This is an automation feature that directs consumers to the products they want without having to interact with a real person.
He also gave examples and said that “WhatsApp Flows” can speed up cumbersome processes and help customers reach their destinations quickly. He said banks can create flows for customers to schedule an appointment to open a new account, food delivery services can build flows to place orders from any of their partner restaurants, and airlines can create flows for a passenger to check in for a flight and pick up. seat. He emphasized that all of this can be done without them ever leaving the chat window.
“We’ve heard from a lot of companies that they’re very keen to build credibility and build visibility. So I’m excited to start rolling out Meta Verified in the coming months,” Zuckerberg added.
